Hipsters! Skinny chinos rolled up, shoes with no socks, floppy hair and probably taking pics of the lounge to upload via Instagram...

Are there no standards any more?*

   Guilty as charged
Mind you I wouldn't be caught dead in a pair of chinos ;)

I think someone wearing socks and crocs/sandals would be worse, no doubt with the rest of the wardrobe showing a distinct lack of taste... A real uber-dork sort of look???

And what's wrong with taking pics of the lounge??? Don't AFFers take pics of everyting air travel related???

Standards have disappeared for good.

I forget where I saw this guy wearing hipsters but it was disgusting. The back of the jeans were down below his knees.

You know how they say do not judge a book by it's cover? Too late. I may just tolerate today's dress standards but will never accept them.

Agree with John K on this. There seem to be a new set of weird standards which makes it easy NOT to accept.

Fads come and Go. but at the end of the day, neat and well presented really hasn't changed in the last 50 or so years (AFAIK).
so Hi Viz not withstanding take a look in the mirror before you go outside, and if you have even a basic understanding of the difference between smart Ar#e and smart casual then you will know if you are letting yourself and/or others down . I suppose it falls to the Frequent Flyer to set an example (in the lounge) and not succumb to to the lowest common denominator when dress, and manners/behavior are at stake. come to think of it airport lounges are not the only place we can set a good example!! remember our children are watching us as well.
