I guess these are the perils of dropping status... I'm currently on hold with reservations to check on a cancelled booking. The recorded voice happily told me "the current expected wait time is greater than 30 minutes".
This follows on from a 45 minute wait two weeks ago to request a cancellation, where I had the pleasure of speaking to an agent who tried to charge $500 in cancelation fees because they couldn't read the fare rules
Is this about the norm now? Given I'm chasing up a cancellation two weeks later that "will be processed within 3 days", I'm far from impressed!
