what's the protocol

Guys and Gals, just wondering what the protocol is for offering up a few drinks to AFF's in November. Was comptemplating inviting people for a beer or three on production of their AFF luggage tag?

Any comments?

Months ahead I know, but my 'bar' has long lead times to work with.

Presumably depends on exactly what you're offering, (i.e, is it some sort of commercial offering?) but you could organise a social event as happens from time to time.

I was/am going to suggest a Nov drinkies but the people starting the threads on events seem to be high posters or mods. Maybe there is some secrect process to choosing a date?

Nothing magical about setting the dates, you'll find out soon enough if you are conflicting with something Interstate travellers may find weekends more conducive to attending, but with enough lead time anything may be possible.

If there is an interstate contingent in town for Sunday, then there is a good chance they will be looking for somthing to do on Saturday night

I've been thinking of doing that. Trouble is the Gold Coast isn't terribly accessible.
