What $ value do you put on each Status Point?

e.g. A simple one - LAX-xMSP-MCO for USD555 earns 140 SC's in First/Business ... that's about $4 per SC ...

Thanks heaps for this. However, being new, how did you work this out?

As I'm doing:

SFO-xLAX-MSY
MSY-xATL-CLE
CLE-JFK
JFK-LAX

All on DELTA economy comfort.

Thank you.

Wow, you're a gun at this!

Just read your thread...

Seems like AA is just with Qantas though?

I too am learning lots from the school of Serfty for an upcoming us trip.

Get to know your SC earn zones and use Delta's flexible with airport option or extracting max value. The SC earn on multiple sector flights in F with a child pooling to you is amazing.

Yup, I'm thinking he's the Flight Centre captain in real life...

What is "Delta's flexible airport option"?

I've already booked all my domestic US flights with Delta, yet perhaps I can upgrade or change some of the flights to take advantage of earning more SCs.

I'm about two weeks out of booking my first one, timing seems a bit fickle for DL and VX.

If you go into advanced search Delta's search engine will give you the option to be flexible with airports in a radius of 10, 25, 50 or 100 miles. In some cases alternates thrown up by this option can be considerably cheaper!
