Looks like Columbus Direct offers the best bang for the buck and is extensive in items covered.
Note, AFF Gold members get a genuine 20% discount.
AFF Gold Membership at $75 is worthwhile considering as the cost is recouped in the insurance premium discount, plus there are ongoing benefits of status.

We use and have used Southern Cross Travel Insurance 5 times for trips to EU for 9 weeks in a camper. I'm 53 and wife 59. It was about 300 each. I just put in Dates for Aug 28-Nov 3 for 2 people and full insurance came back with 598 with100 excess. Have used t5hem to get Campervan damages back without any probs. Had to take wife to Hospital in Italy Nil Cost but wonderful help from them. They are a NZ based company. We are going again next year and will be purchasing Insurance again in about 2 weeks when I pay for our Camper. Hope this helps

That's great you have had such good service from Southern Cross, it's always good to know of these experiences. I'll keep Southern Cross in mind when I am next planning a trip.
Daughter went with Columbus Direct which with AFF Gold member discount came in at $266.
