Hi Everyone.

After taking advice from the posters on this forum I have amassed a healthy 220k QFF points in the past year. The advice I have received from this forum has been invaluable.

So after reaching this milestone I now find myself asking what to do with these points? My dream would be to fly business class return to Europe with my fiancee and I was hoping if I can get some advice on whether it is possible to upgrade for both of us using these points and how to go about it?

We are looking at traveling around Aug/Sept of this year.

Thank you

If it were for one pax I'd recommend saving another 60k points and book a 280k J award.
You certainly can upgrade to J using points but remember with QF it's a lottery as to who are successful with these said upgrades. The higher status you are the better chance you have but there are no guarantees.

I'd be thinking PE to HKG then J rest of the way in J possibly via DXB.

I would avoid upgrading as it is a lottery; and if you do not get them its a waste of cash on the higher Y fare classes. I would suggest outright redemption.
Europe in J return for two using solely QF points we are talking something in the vicinity of 500k so you are barely halfway.

What you can do is supplement your QF points by purchasing AA miles.
You could buy 62k AA miles (+18k bonus) for about US$1868 for each you and your fiancee and use these to fly F to Europe.

Then save up a touch more QF points and spend 128k each to get home in J.

It would require additional AU$4k of investment (plus taxes - which are likely to be much more significant on the QF redemption) but that's probably what I would do.
