Hi,

Planning on going to Vietnam/Cambodia later this year for a holiday. Curious if anyone has any "off the beaten track" experiences that they have come across?

Welcome to AFF!

I assume you’ll be going to Siem Reap in Cambodia to check out Angkor Wat! Make sure you book an early morning tour and make sure you get up early, sunrise is amazing.

If you want to avoid the crowds at sunrise head to the other side of the Angkor Wat temple away from the ponds and you will have it all to yourself.

A trip to the floating village on Tonle Sap makes for a great short tour. Half hour drive from Siem Reap.

Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam has not suffered from a tourism boom yet and is a great place to explore on motorbike. As is inland of Nha Trang. Halong Bay is stunning but way too crowded. Chu Chi tunnels tour is very interesting.
