If no one has a definitive answer I'll ask (if we get the tag) when we fly MEL-SYD-NAN in a few weeks.
 
Melbourne do not have these tags. Although you may get an 'international connection' tag.

I've definitely received one in MEL before (admittedly a few years ago now), I received one in CNS just last week when connecting through SYD to AKL.
