Hi all

I've just looked at a booking on checkmytrip.com (procrastinating at work on a Friday afternoon). Under "Your flight selection" section, there's this

Airline confirmation number(s): Qantas Airways Nxx_xI American Airlines AA

Can you please tell me what NzzzzI means?

Thanks,
Voyages

Always chuckle when I get a reference NUMBER with no numbers in it!

The code is an internal one and not one that can be used in the manner of the Amadeus reference

I was not sure; I have a booking QFF award booking for AA flights and in looking it up on www.checkmytrip.com was able to ascertin the corresponding AA Sabre reference.

From this I was able to select seats.

Now I look it was in the form:

"Airline confirmation number(s): American Airlines xx_xx_"

It is the xx_xx_ that is the sabre reference

It is the xx_xx_ that is the sabre reference

For Qf bookings ( as per the OP ) the Amadeus reference is the one that people could do something with. For BA records, until close to departure it will show NOSYNC as the reference and will list a reference when it links to the system thats used closed to departure.

For AA entries, it could well be the Sabre ref afaik
