One photo is the buffet selection from QF MEL QP at approx 14:30 on a Fri afternoon, the other is the VA SYD Lounge offering at the same time on a Fri afternoon, taken one week apart. ;)

Can't help but notice the typical qantas cost cutting in the above photo. VA has full cucumber slices where as the tight wads at Qantas have cut the slices in half.

Isn't that just another salad that has cucumber in it instead of just cucumber by itself?

Photo is a bit blurry, but that container would be a lot of cucumber if it was just by itself.

Ah yes, but QF have whole beetroot and VA have sliced it. That's assuming QF is the top photo, 'cos I can't tell for sure.

Qantas has greater variety on the cold meats available?

Ham, roast beef, silverside, salami, pastrami at various times.

I think we complain a bit too much!!!! Try the Biman Airlines lounge at Dhaka, you want a coffee or tea, put the jug on!!! And the food, well instant noodles packs all open!!! Then there is the shared Thai lounge in Karachi; lovely place the instant coffee is wonderful. Then of course is the Tarom lounges in Eastern Europe..... Even the Star Alliance in CDG, wow, better off eating at McDonalds.

I have always felt we have had it very lucky.....

Couldn't agree more. Most european lounges are rubbish.

Not according to the post. But I could be wrong.

It doesn't specify which is which.

I doesn't need to my young paduan.

Please let me know the next time you see a chice of ham and salami in the VA lounge. ;)

I saw it in 3 different VA lounges 3 weeks ago. Is that good enough? ;)

Going by the stone - I think you'll find the QP is the bottom picture.
