What I ate today - the food thread

Breakfasts at Fico.
Mrsdrron had scrambled eggs and pancakes on the last 2 days.

And I had tornado eggs on a corn fritter and poached eggs on ricotta and marinated tomatoes. My usual sides of mushroom and roast tomato.'

Bask restaurant again for a Wagyu and Rum night. Didn’t get a photo of the uncut tomahawk steak but it was huge and probably one of the tastiest steaks I’ve had. It was from a local farmer (Murgon I think) and was a Wagyu Marbling Score 9. Rum was also local from Sunshine & Sons at Woombye. Great night and great value.
I’m not going to individually list each course as you can work it out from the menu.

Not so much "what I ate today" but what my family eats every day

I started baking my own bread in April this year and I have not bought bread since. In June I started my sourdough starter and have gradually improved my technique to a point where I now make a delicious and soft sourdough two times per week, and wholemeal bread (50% wholemeal, 50% white) 3 days per week.

I have two young kids and a full time job so it took some trial and error to figure out how to work all this into my schedule but I found a way to do it. So we eat fresh bread every day in this house and my kids are thoroughly spoiled and totally disgusted when they are served store bought Wonder Bread at friends' houses 😂

Well I will also show you our go to meals now. If Mrsdrron stands at a stove even for a few minutes her back pain gets worse.
So we got our old slow cooker out and you just throw the meat in with some fluid then turn the on. Just check every hour or so and turn it off when ready. If it’s a bit early to eat it has a warm function as well. The meat is as tender as could be. I collect the juices and put in the fridge. The fat comes to the top and solidifies so easily removed. The juices are then the liquid for the next meal.
So examples. First beef short ribs and then a lamb shoulder roast

The lamb shoulder roast is our favourite and the one shoulder does 3 meals for us.
