Both very good places when visiting the Bay of Islands. We had some oyster earlier this year passing thru on a cruise and my birthday dinner at Terra two years ago.

Today was a turning point in our saga. We were close to the surf club and Mrsdrron said “let’s go to the club for lunch “
So she had creamy bacon and mushroom pasta. She ate all least 60%. of it Nearly normal for her. She loved it

I had a rare rump steak A bit chewy but both were $18 lunch specials

So good to hear that you and Mrs Dr Ron are getting out and about to your favourite haunts
@drron

Some recent room service staples - the good old club sandwich. Like Caesar salads, there can be some variations depending on location.

IMG_6771.jpg Wellington Sofitel. Tasty but a little 'bitty'.

Adelaide Sofitel. Also tasty but more substantial and satisfying.

Excellent meal at Frank, a South American influenced restaurant on the Hobart waterfront.

Wouldn't normally post a pic of bread, but this came with jalapeno butter and pickled chilies.

Anchovies.
IMG_6931.jpg
Tender octopus skewers.
IMG_6932.jpg
Cheese empanadas.
IMG_6933.jpg
Chorizo. Melt-in-mouth.
IMG_6935.jpg
Brazilian beef cheeks on top of grains and with lightly pickled vegetables. Great combination.
IMG_6936.jpg
IMG_6941.jpg
Veg and potato sides
IMG_6937.jpg
Beef and lamb mole.
IMG_6938.jpg
Chicken barbacoa
IMG_6939.jpg
Spiced cauliflower and crisp kale.
IMG_6940.jpg
Wagyu steak.

Great meal. Very good service. Prices not too bad given location.

When I was a youngster I often had toast for breakfast. Favourite topping was peanut butter and honey Eta peanut butter and generic honey. Only occasionally Vegemite.
Lately getting back to toast. 2 pieces. 1 with peanut butter and one with honey. The honey I use is the best honey in the world IMHO.
