Dinner and drinks at SYD F lounge.

On arrival into the lounge - Bloody Mary, hold the liquor.

Entree: buffalo mozzarella and heirloom tomatoes. One the standard vego options that I go for in the F lounge. I love cheese, so this dish was a natural choice for me. Also wasn’t too keen on the olives or the soup.

Mains: Roast eggplant with peperonata, zucchini and basil. Ah-me-zinggggg dish 😍 the eggplant was so soft and the peporanata on the top tasted so good - a must try dish IMHO.

To wash down the entree and main - Bush Chai. Served in a tea pot, piping hot. This tea had a mix of so many spices that the flavour profile kept changing as steeping time increased. The tea started very mild with hints of anise, but as it brewed, strong cinnamon, fennel flavours over took the anise. For me, this tea was the perfect accompaniment with the dishes I had today.

Dessert: affogato. Was going to go with the pavlova, then I thought, it’s been a few years since I had an affogato. So affogato it was and it was a good choice. The espresso was velvety and the macadamia liqueur blended well with the espresso and the ice cream. Will try this again on my next visit.

I was reading your post wondering where the chilli was, and then saw the final photo 😀.
What was the name of the macadamia liqueur?

The next morning we were up too late for a restaurant breakfast so just coffee and some goodies at the Bistro.
