Yiaga opened in the Fitzroy Gardens Melbourne mid October’25. A Hugh Allen venture former head chef of Vue de Monde . Beautiful setting, brilliant service, delicious grazing menu. Not all courses photographed.

Selection of dishes at Frangipane, Mumbai.

Spicy prawn and lobster soup.

Variety of meat and veg kebabs.

Bombay sandwich.

Tandoori chicken pizza.

Biryani, lamb and accompaniments.

Western prices, but excellent service and top quality.

After a long day trying to keep up with Miss H on the slopes I decided to treat myself for dinner.

In an unfamiliar kitchen I was pretty happy with the results.

Ribeye medium rare with garlic mushrooms, grilled brussels sprouts, sweet potato chips and salad.

Oh, and a nice Canadian red! (Yes, there is such a thing).

Caught up with some work colleagues and had dessert at Brunetti's in Flinders Lane. Top one is a pistachio cake and I had cannoli with a hot chocolate.

From a few weeks ago, but SWMBO has just sent me the photo. Seafood Chowder. Sea Shanty on Myer, Lakes Entrance.
It was a lot, last time I had something served in a bread loaf was in Poland.

Our afternoon meal today at Bocca Bokarina. Only decided to go this morning so ate at 4pm.

As usual we started with truffled mushrooms and grilled eggplant. I nearly forgot a photo.

Then we shared the beef cheek. Wonderful.

Finished with our favourite desserts. Pannacotta for Mrsdrron and limoncello meringue for me.

Lunch break from skiing in Sun Peaks.

The ABC* flat bread was delicious. (*Avocado, Bacon & Chicken)

Miss H wasn’t so impressed by the burger.

I was also unimpressed with the almost hour-long wait for food when there were only four other tables occupied. Seemed a bit like a tactic to get people to buy more drinks.

Have our son staying with us tonight. Went to our now favourite Thai restaurant - Love You Long Thai at Dicky Beach.It was packed so service a little slower than usual which was not a problem. The food was really nice. We share all the dishes. Coconut prawns to start. There were 4 of them.

Then garlic and pepper chicken, Pad Thai with prawns and a spicy pad kee mee with beef.

Plus not having to drive I could start with a beer.

Had to go to Sunshine plaza today so lunch again at Grandma Dangs. Mrsdrron had her usual vermicelli salad and I had Luke’s luck sizzling beef. Delicious.

Dinner on Tuesday with all the family at Light Years at Noosa. An upmarket chain with Asian fusion and a lot of spicy dishes though not too much heat.

Barramundi ceviche.

Salmon sashimi

Bao bun with spicy Korean chicken. One plate with out the spicy sauce.

All dishes were shared with basically 7 adults. I loved the tastes and a great place for a larger group.
We wouldn’t go back as Mrsdrron doesn’t like any spicy foods. Even seeing chilli as decorative add on puts her off.
But if you love spicy their sauces are great so a recommendation but it’s a bit pricey.
