Currently also spargeling in Germany in May 😍

Mind you, it’s my first and last German meal. I can only stomach one on any given trip, then i’m right back to Asian food…luckily the Vietnamese food here is half decent 😅

Was totally famished in Vienna a couple of years ago I had to just switch to just eating dessert…there’s only so much schnitzel and potato salad an Australian can take 🤮

We are staying in an area of Lyon that has only been fairly newly developed. But it is still walking distance from the old town As well as modern apartment blocks there are University campuses and student accommodation. Just a100 metres or so away from us is a sort of foodhall/night spot.

It is designed to offer young chefs a chance to display their talent.

It was all very nice but required a long walk afterwards.

Koultoura Restaurant Santorini. We chose this place for the view but the food and staff were awesome as well. The portion sizes were big and this would have easily fed three normal eaters, but it was that good that the two of us ate most of it! This place is a 10/10 for me.

. Volcano Saganaki Cheese (the dish at the back) - yellow fried cheese, carob cracker crust and tomato jam.
. Spinach and Rocket Salad - spinach, rocket, raisins, sweet & sour pear, manouri cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, balsamic, ginger and sesame oil dressing
. Black Pork Chop - it was supposed to come with sweet potato purée but we got grilled veggies instead. The chop was huge and I’m guessing around 600 grams or so.
