Another seminar presentation and lunch - this time at Brisbane Sofitel:

Breakfast today at Publico at the Intercontinental Robertson Quay. Laksa because I could.


Mrsdrron had the banana pancake.

Mall walking at Terminal21 Bangkok, so needed a caramel frappicino

And lunch today is 1.2kg of mangosteen.

Mothers day lunch at Nara Bangkok.
Mrsdrron had the pomelo salad with prawns.

And I had the Khao Soi chicken.



And I added most of that extra chilli to it. Definitely one of the best Khao Soi I have ever had.

Tonight at the Living Room at the SGS Bangkok. First the complimentary canapes. I ate the money bag before remembering the photo.

Mrsdrron wanted her comfort food -pad Thai.

Whilst I had the ceviche with salmon,whitefish and Hokkaido scallop. Fantastic.
.

My local deli run by Italians sell this sandwich for $9 - unhinge your jaw. 3 meats, 2 cheeses and antipasto. Fills me up

A few of the courses at today's Singapore lunch at Whitegrass.

We had separate menus.Mrsdrron the 4 course and I the 5 course and splurged on the premium Waygu. My appetizer was tuna and mrsdrron salmon. She enjoyed hers mine was perfection.

My next course was Hokkaido scallops with asparagus. Wonderful.
.

My extra course was Red Amadai tilefish. Another brilliant dish which had absolutely crispy skin but moist wonderful flesh.

Then the mains. Mrsdrron had the French poulet with langoustines. Very nice.
.

Whilst I had the waygu beef. so tender and full of flavour.
.

And a complimentary Yuzu liquer.


So less than half the price of Odette with a bottle of wine. Total $S475 v $S1087.
The good thing is that the whole table does not have to have the same menu. Also lots of wines by the glass which we will do on our next visit.

My wife’s pasta had some special tomato sauce.

Barchetta restaurant @ North Cottesloe beach, WA. PERfection PERsonified with a beautiful fine day, sitting outside on the balcony listening to the crashing small waves and watching the bulk container and cargo ships sitting out to sea, waiting to dock at Freemantle Harbour - or the ones steaming west out to the wild blue yonder



My client had the Bruschetta (5 pieces but gave me one as a starter)



I had the Bibimbap (hard to pronounce, but damn it was tasty).
