I admit - perhaps I'm spoilt being an aussie living in asia. A lot of the problems people have mentioned (what irritates ...) I haven't experienced here. For me, (traveling 10%F, 30%C, and 60%Y or below) I've always had pleasant experiences. Perhaps need to travel more? But, I LOVE traveling in planes. What do other people love about flying?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Yes redrat, I love the points too! :D Other things that come to mind:

* Unexpected upgrades - once to Hawaii was upgraded to first both ways
* Chocolate sundaes when tropics bound
* The minature bourbon bottles
* Charming Japanese flight attendants - nothing is ever a bother
* The view of the harbour coming into SYD
* Seeing famous people - last month saw Jackie Chan inbound ICN. Other times have been seated next to politicians  and once, a famous fashion designer
* That movie you've been wanting to see is on the small screen
* Eating my partner's breadroll. I know it's sick - but I just love those little fellas

Decent scotch on board and in the lounges ... pitty I am always disappointed with QF in this area, and delighted with BA.

1. I'm also a "love flying" for the experience of being up there...and now loving a job that does include travel
2. I'll admit to being a slight snob - elite status is very nice and after 3 years, I don't want to give it up easily (op ups, ODU's, U seats appearing through Yield Management) - and my wife loves the perks (paying Y and flying J for most of our trips in the past 2.5 years)
3. Entry to F lounges (particularly the QF/BA F lounge in SIN, F Lounge or Concorde Room at LHR or AA Flagship Lounge at LAX)
4. When Qantas put on a party, they really know how to!! (when they smoozed their top 100 Plat FF's last year in BNE, SYD and MEL with a black-tie sit-down meal in a QF hanger at the airport, with John Travolta and his refitted 707)

But all-in-all, getting something back from QF for all the time and money I spend with them.

Hell! Dinner in a hanger??
Nicolas Cage could have come in and blown John Travolta and YOU away!!!

(must have been a great night!!!)
