A Scanned image of 12 of my Qantas Club/Frequent Flyer cards from the last 13 years. Top right is the old navy Blue 1994 QP card and bottom left is my 2005 WP card.

Are you sure? The bottom left looks gold to me...

Serfty - what happened to your old faithful bronze card?
Never had a "bronze" card; straight to QP.

BTW, back then there was no "Bronze", only Blue, Silver and Gold. A Basic QFF card was white.

Never had a "Silver" or "Blue" card either, even though I achieved those levels. QP was only rated below Gold (The top level back then) so I never received one.

Serfty - i shudder to think what kind of travelling you've had to conduct over the past years!!!

Does anyone know if there is a undisclosed level above the QFP level? I recall some talk years ago from someone at my office who apparently had a special acronym on their card recognizing the ridiculous amount of travel they had to underatke.

There are at least 2 designations not part of QFF status levels, but neither is specifically linked to amount of travel.

CIP = commercially important passenger
CL = chairman's lounge

There is a Chairman's Lounge level which is given to people on an invitaiton basis - not so much through large amounts of but either as a bribe to the pollies or to major decision makers for businesses spending over $1m (ish) on QF travel for their company.

Ok, now you have my attention!!! Any details on the kinds of perks that come with Chairman's Lounge membership?

Do a search here on Chairmans Lounge and you will find bunch of threads - without a lot of sketchy information mingled into useful information.

Yes, my ex-boss, Peter Langhorne, who is now John Howard's PPS. was (and no doubt still is) a member and invited me in from time to time.

If you would like more info, please PM me.
