I'm having a house de-clutter and the time has come to decide what to do with the ten or so Henschke Hill of Grace presentation boxes I have kept (having drunk the contents, of course!), on the basis "they must be useful for something, some-day".

Nothing so far; I'm open to (serious) suggestions on uses (except burning) / useful give-away. The only thing I can think of right now is to sand off Henschke and make by own bespoke presentation boxes, but that means keeping them :(.

You'd always be able to get a few dollars selling them on ebay.

Otherwise, if you Google it, there are a million options.

I cannot believe the timing of your question. I just threw three out just 5 minutes ago in my start at decluttering. They’ve been sitting there for years - just in case.

We must be of very much the same vintage.

If you are offering them, I can make good use for them in storing my handbuilt and finished model trams!

You could have a bespoke coffee table made along the lines of AnonymousCoward's (as posted in one of the wine threads in the last 3 or so months....)

Which is precisely what I am saving all of my wooden wine boxes for. Having the table made won't be cheap BTW. :-)

Good idea, but as I de-cluttering, that's not going to fly.

I'll PM you :)

love the table good idea, I keep mine for storing adds and sods then of course forget that I put them there, still funny that I remember the wine/champagne is gone.

Fabulous table - is there a glass top on it?

Not currently - just polyurethane, plus a clear plastic tablecloth for when the kids are using it.

The maker wasn't keen on the whole glass top idea, but I think it'll be the way to go. You can get a top from any glazier, so no need to get one up front.

I like the idea of a table like AC, or some kind of montage on a wall in your house / cellar.
