What cheeses me off

Our nuisances last night were human. We presume that the White House in front of our place contained partygoers from Saturday nights local football win as premiers. They were all at the pub. Clearly the pub kicked them at out 2am. And they continued the party here.

This photo was taken at around 4 am.

Party in full swing. A bass beat so loud that noise cancelling buds didn't stop the thump. Then around 3am they turned the volume up even louder. Nothing could stop it. Finally ended around 4,30am. Unfortunately not many of the people in the nearby holiday places were there but residents further up the bay would have been blasted too as sound carries so well over water (it's the foreshore here).

This morning around 7.30am I watched a couple walk past the house and immediately started pointing at it. The family are well known. Own the fishing industry here and no one dares complain about them.

My recycling bottles were so loud when I emptied them into the bin this morning quite early and I had to walk a very noisy empty rubbish bin the very long way around the front of the house on the pot holed road. Maybe I should put it back again?
There's also walking out the front, bashing a spoon on a pot to scare away some vermin - I mean the feathered or furry kind :)

We had a similar experience at camp ground down the south coast of NSW many years ago. A group of raucous young people, oblivious to everyone else at the camp ground. They were drinking hard, partying hard, loud music, foul language, yelling and screaming until 0300. We were there with our kids who were about 8 and 13 years old at the time. Mr Seat0A went to the reception to complain, but it was closed up like Fort Knox. Several of the menfolk from other nearby tents went over and spoke to them and asked them to keep it down and go to bed but they were just told to F@#K off.

So it was with some delight that I encouraged a very noisy game of soccer right beside the party tents at 0645 when our kids got up for the day. Some kids from other families soon joined in. There may have been a few (intentionally) misdirected kicks that hit the party tents... They yelled at the kids, and we all yelled back why don't you just F@#K right off yourselves. Very satisfying. But still I would rather have had a good night's sleep.

Back in the day when we had lawns and next door had parties every Saturday night until the early hours I was delighted to mow the lawn at 0700on Sunday. It was the earliest that the council would allow. I also took a radio out to listen to heavy metal at the highest sound level. It was placed under their bedroom window.
It took about 9 months before they decided to hold the parties elsewhere.

I have trapped a lot of possums over the years and opine that they need to learn to adapt to new territory..
These days we do not have a lot of food and there seem to be fewer possums..leads to...
Recently found a large python on the driveway , sleeping off his meal in the sun.
We have(had?) a few blue tongues around as well as ringtails and the pestilent brush tails so good picking for the snake.
The cat likes to go for a walk in the back yard some evenings and I leave the floodlight on in the hope of discouraging the snake.
A smaller python was working his way through the yard one day recently with both the dog and the cat running interference
Only a metre or so long so cat too big a meal but I took him outside on the road in the hope that he would go somewhere else..
