What cheeses me off

WCMO - A couple of QF flights with extraordinarily different points earnings.. As part of a Fiji Airways-booked trip, the first leg HBA/MEL with QF earned me 3063 QF points (and 40 SCs). Cant argue too much about the subsequent two FJ Nadi flts - 4.5 hrs flying time in J gets you 2250 pts and 40 SC's each way - but the final return leg SYD/HBA with QF earned a miserable 825 points (oh, and the same 40 SC's).

I chased for an explanation why the 2 domestic flts could have such different rewards but the Philippines call centre wasnt able to elucidate.. Same fare bucket with FJ, so I'm assuming QF must hv viewed the domestic legs differently. It reminds me why we dont do the red roo very often..

All legs are in Business Class, right?

When you booked the flights, did the SYD-HBA leg book on a QF flight number or a FJ flight number? Because it seems your last leg was booked on a FJ codeshare flight number (operated by QF).

oneworld, unlike *A, often credits codeshare flights based on the marketing carrier. That is, if you booked on the FJ flight number, you earn based on the Partner earn chart. SYD-HBA falls in the miscellaneous table (distance brackets), and Partner J earns 825 points and 40 SC. In addition, as it is FJ, no status bonus or minimum points guarantee applies, and these SCs don't count towards anything which must count QF status credits (e.g. 2400 SC Platinum bonus or P1).
