What cheeses me off

Well I dIdn't really get cheesed off with Aramex this morning. Have been waiting 2 monthsfor 2 pieces of equipment supposedly for my transition from hospital package which ended 2 weeks ago. I got a telephone call from the supplier t 10am saying the package couldn't be deiiverered. Aramex said they tried to deliver it at 8am this morning. No proof besides these 2 old sods rarely wake before 9am each day.
Got a form for changing delivering options. get to putting in details of my address nd it won't let me fillin our street name, postcode, State or even country. Fortunately a considerate supplier, which thy really should be in the senior and disability sectors. who managed to get a new time. yes 8am Wednesday morning. Better set the alarm.

Their depot is in Kunda Park if you want it earlier.

Dealing with a chronic injury and every effing person asks have you tried this and that and my friend did this.

I'm seeing medical specialists - I value their judgement better that your mates opinions or yours.

yes I am cranky today
But have you tried hot yoga? (Joking!)

My favourite is "you're too young to be on all those medications". Okay, well my immune system did not get the memo, so here we are.

WCMO today? Amazon (which is not a normal gripe for me).

Ordered a couple of 5L containers of disinfectant, some oversized paperback children's books and several packs of toothpaste. Received advice that all were due to arrive on the same day (no surprise there). What turns up? A single large (beaten up) box containing all items bouncing around freely without any form of padding - be that scrunched up paper or those airbag things. Suffice it to say the 5L disinfectant containers were in pristine condition......

PS> Received an email from Aramex today advising that my cider delivery from Tassie is now en-route. So on the plus side, I was right to think my earlier Aramex delivery was indeed the missing cider. On the negative side of things, I need to deal with Aramex again 😕

I was lucky with my Aramex delivery which was scheduled fo some time after 0800. Around 0810 my phone made some strange noises. possibly due to the Telstra outage.I checked and I had just missed a phone call. Rang straight back and it was aramex. The woman said I am still in your street-it is only ~100 metres long- so she would come back with the delivery.

Air Cambodia (K6) Transit Desk at BKK.

Arriving off CMB-BKK UL, connecting to BKK-KTI - on a single ticket with 3 hours transit time at BKK. Travelling HLO.

UL at CMB said they can't issue BP for the BKK-KTI leg and to collect it at BKK K6 Transit desk ... land in BKK, go to the transit desk - no K6 staff. Other airline staff say K6 staff arrive 3 hours before departure. It was already 2 hrs 50 mins prior departure.

Connect to BKK Wifi - got an email that the K6 to KTI is cancelled and rebooked on a later K6 to KTI. The 3 hour layover is now 8 hour layover. All good, not an issue. I can pass time with Netflix. Wasn't too keen on clearing immigration and entering Thailand to collect the boarding pass from the check-in counter.

Fast forward 3 hours prior the now new departure to KTI, K6 staff nowhere to be see in the transit desk. Enquire other airline staff, same response "airline staff will come 3 hours prior departure". I say that it is already 3 hours prior departure - got a shrug.

Fast forward 2 hours 30 mins prior departure - no sign of K6 staff to issue my boarding pass. I now make the decision to enter Thailand. Lucky it was visa free access. Apply for the e-arrival card and then straight to immigration where there was a massive queue.

With every moving pax, the time is moving to - too close for my liking to collect BP. Mild panic sets in.

Then the dreaded lunch hour shift change happens - waited in a queue for over 30 mins, then moved to a different queue because the staff shift changed. Moved from the front of the old queue to the middle of the new queue - feeling slightly grumpy. But immigration checkpoint ain't the place to show unsavoury emotions. So holding it in ...

Finally, called to the front - all checks done within 1 min. Run to the Departures.

No queue at check in desk - handed staff passport - staff says "oh sir, you don't have to come outside to collect your next boarding pass. We would have come in the Transit Desk". Staff give the "oh you didn't know about transit desk" smile. I politely say "I was at the desk for over 6 hours, no one from K6 showed up. I made the decision to enter Thailand because I only 2 hours and 30 mins left before the K6 to KTI departed". Staff goes on to say "oh, if you tell other airline staff, they will call check in desk, we will print boarding pass and meet you at Transit desk". I really didn't feel like continuing the conversation because I spoke with almost all other airline staff at check in desk and no one volunteered to call K6 staff .. Oh and at BKK, K6 does not have their own staff, rather use Bangkok Air staff as ground crew.

Anyways, check in done and BP issued. Off to security and immigration.

At immigration passport not able to read on the automatic gates. Went to manual queue - staff questioned, you entered Thailand 30 mins ago only? why departing right away? Then I explained the whole story. Half-way thru the immigration staff cut me off by waving their hand and signal me to go thru ... alright ... it was one of those days ...

Landed in KTI - went to the Plaza Premium First lounge (as I had an onward MH as QF WP) - a hot shower reset the whole day.
