Redaction isn't very effective; with a bit of focus I can make out the rego.

While more difficult, it's also reflected in your bonnet.

Didn't really have to redact it really; not exactly enough to go on to doxx someone.

Same here, albeit the image is massive on my Ultra Wide display and the redaction is translucent.

I wasn't lucky, observant. We sat together for the 2+hr journey at a sedate 110-113kmh. He took all the stress out of the journey as i simply followed the leader.

Clearly a typo then as I believe @anat0l obviously saw the same thing I did in your earlier post....

I set the cruise control to 140 (i.e. I reproduce whatever speed he is doing) and sit behind him until he turns off at Gundagai.

Don’t think we know the insurance status of the car to which @blackcat20 is referring, and if that was in reference to my earlier post, I can assure you the vehicle was fully insured (albeit I did not appreciate the technicality that would apply at the time). Sorry if I’ve misinterpreted your post.

all good. In SA I don't think you can insure a car that isn't registered. And the council would likely move it on eventually if so. Happened just recently near us.

Interesting. Registration includes third party personal injury. Which comprehensive doesn't cover. So in SA anyway, if someone somehow injured themselves on an unregistered parked car in the public space ( - hey, it's a crazy world) then owner of the car is responsible. Which was my original comment.

Apple updates. We have mobile phone in airplane mode while overseas and only use wifi. Arrived into Bali yesterday. Husbands phone updated last night. It switched off airplane mode and which has now scored us an Optus fee for data. Leave our freaking settings alone Apple. You do not know what we want. Not a huge cost to us but some some unkowings it could cost them a motza if they didn't realise.

Bingo @TomVexille , you got it. I was just hoping he didn't turn on the lights and siren and take off after someone!
It was educational to observe a highly trained and defensive driver over a prolonged period of time. Constantly buffering for instance and very smooth.
I think car and driver were transferring to Gundagai for a campaign this week which is partly why I wanted to post the image for any AFFers driving the Hume. Personally I like to see highly visible HwyPatrol and more of them as I believe they are a great deterrent to poor behaviour.

Edit: MrsP commented she wondered if he was getting tired of me shadowing. Before the comments start I wasn't 2 car lengths off his tail.

Hotel pre checkin. Will never do again. Just spent a frustrating 30 minutes filling in info, configuring their date structure, had to use a VPN as they don't like Bali, signing, loading up passports. WTF should we have to do their work? Outcome? Not completed and won't be until we arrive.

Aussie post contractors that dont show up to deliver parcel but state was "unable to deliver" and I get an email saying it was at our local PO ready for pickup at 11.19am

We have 4 cameras in the front yard at different angles inc footpath (hubby is addicted to them) and hubby and tradie nephews were in the front yard today and no one attempted to deliver. Get to the post office and they cant find the parcel as its still out with the driver.

That's the pattern of my deliveries, too.
I've learnt not to go into the PO until after 3pm the following day, otherwise my parcel is still in the delivery van.
Next they'll send you a message asking, "how was our delivery?" !

So many folk on their phones in restaurants and even Lounges.

Out to dinner last night, a Dad with his young lad, maybe 12.
Kid has earbuds in, both on their phones, kid watching videos, no interaction at all with each other for over an hour.
Ate their meals - and left.

Again not so much a WCMO as a “what always underwhelms” - just about every aspect of flying with BA, regardless of whether it’s intra-Europe or intercontinental.

The aircraft are tired, the poor staff even more so. Priority boarding is a joke and in flight service makes you feel like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer.

For a supposedly full-service carrier they just never seem to get it right, and make one long for better OW options in Europe to complement AY (have never had the chance to use IB).

The BA lounge options are generally ok, though always beaten by QF/CX options if available. The whole experience is consistently disappointing and mediocre.

Looking at prices of flights, most in Business. Some of the prices are quite attractive - not say bargain basement cheap and not say world class product, but you'd look at it and go, "That's a decent price".

Problems? Handcuffs are real. I have a foot in each of two alliances and Velocity, but some of the options are airlines that aren't alliance aligned, or are a member of the third alliance, of which I have no stake at all in.

Now one would say that handcuffs are not real and you can ignore it all and fly whoever the hell you want, status and redeemable miles be damned. There's more than a few pundits out there spruiking that, and the case becomes all the more powerful if you have lifetime status and/or your budget is such that flying premium cabins is very normal (including First Class).

For the rest of us, there is a dilemma. Do I sign up for a programme in the alliance so I can credit this flight (and when would I use this programme again), or do I just forgo it and settle with myself that I got a pretty decent deal?
