What cheeses me off

WCMO is spilling half a tub of grated Parmesan while retrieving it from the fridge, resulting in using the dust pan, small vacuum cleaner and rags, plus taking out two vegetable crisper drawers and clearing the bottom shelf in order to clean out little dots of Parmesan. I'm certain I haven't managed to get every single crumb that rolled under the fridge.

Yes, I was cheesed off (at the situation and myself for causing it).

EDIT: I should mention - grated Parmesan is extremely annoying to clean up. It doesn't stick to a wet rag, it runs everywhere and it is difficult to pick up in one go with a rag. When sweeping it up, some of it just gets caught in the brush and releases randomly. When using a vacuum cleaner, you need to empty the dust container and clean the vacuum unit and filter immediately, lest you have mouldy Parmesan start to taint and stick to parts of the vacuum.
You neeed a Labrador. Ours is most diligent about his cleanup jobs

I am still CO'd by drivers that mindlessly park across footpaths. This one is a professional driver so no excuse. They say any publicity is good publicity. If you are a Vittoria rep on AFF feel free to DM me and I'll provide location and date.

At least you can squeeze past this van (unless you are in a wheelchair). How about the builders who open gates across the whole footpath and get annoyed when you move them or have to walk around their massive Utes. Or the delivery riders or scooters or cyclists - and I thought a footpath was for people walking.

Just a particular overheard conversation in an airport lounge.

Speaker in the lounge was clearly a travel arranger for some ‘team’. Probably talking to a travel agent. Our team does this, Our team wants that and so forth.

But then: yes, that’s all fine. Oh except Johnny doesn’t like this and Mary won’t do that and Sylvia is very particular about this and back to Johnny - he doesn’t like that either. Sue has to travel one certain way, but she won’t sit near to Jane because they don’t get on.

Now you know how I feel arranging the seating at dinner. ;)

WCMO is doing a considerable amount of work on a volunteer basis, engaging with people transparently along the way and asking constantly if anyone would like to offer any help in the process, or thoughts/feedback along the way (as updates are given transparently as/when they happen) for there to be radio silence, but then as you try to formally progress something through the sign off gateway to actually commence the process, they come back with a list of things they want to see that is a must in order for them to say yes proceed. I say good luck to them, if you don't take what has been done and then shareholders vote for the action to be done once you're in a position on control, then have it and best of luck. You'll get what you deserve when you realise just how much time has been spent and will be required to run the process in the future, without some of the knowledge, expertise and support which is currently on offer (that won't be shortly, or ever again).

It ‘s bad enough when it happens - and getting paid!

Absolutely, this is for something that will never be paid but it doesn't bother me. We have nearly 100 people (out of 700'ish) that are complaining about the situation, but as usual, none are willing to put their hand up to do anything about it. I put in around 40 hours (so far) of my own time, because I was fortunate enough to have capacity. Never again. Others can either put up, or shut up. The crazy thing is that it's to their benefit to act on what I've worked on. Madness.

2nd one for today .....

Please explain to me how you're so environmentally friendly, that you charge for waste disposal of oil etc., passed onto the customer of course. Yet, when you pickup the car they print off a tree's worth of paperwork rather than offer the option to get it by email? Also, it's a bit cheeky not including the trivial charge on the all in service plan that I have active. This one extends the warranty (past the new car period), and ends early next year. The only plan available then won't do the warranty extension, as it'll just be outside the window/age of the car to do it, so looks like I should go find a local garage that uses Audi approved parts and can update the electronic service record etc.
