WCMO? Bought something from Myer today that was on sale. Calculated the "sale" price - correctly, I might add - and decided to be clever and save myself a few extra $$ by taking advantage of a deal through my work for getting Myer vouchers at a 6% discount and purchased a voucher for the precise amount (down to the cents). Went to the register to pay and it rings up on the till at precisely $0.01 less than the voucher value I'd purchased courtesy of the way Myer's system deciding to round the cents down to the nearest whole. So item was purchased successfully, and now I have a voucher with precisely 1c remaining on it

At least it only cost you 0.94 cents.

Try the New England Highway in Barnaby’s electorate north of Tamworth. More holes than bitumen.

Try following that route even further heading to Brisbane - it gets worst when you get over the border into Qld. Worst stretch is probably Warwick to Cunninghams Gap.

Yes, but you know how it's going to go.... do nothing and it will fail at the most inconvenient moment possible. Do like I did (i.e. buy a new fridge and keep the old one as a handy "second" fridge), and the damn thing will continue to function perfectly just to spite you.

Yes husband was looking at new fridges for just in case. One of the annoying parts is we have to move a sideboard which is near the front door to maneuver a new fridge in.

On a side note why is my credit card payment due on Sunday 28th of Dec ? I didn't think bills were able to be due on a public holiday or weekend ?

Inner suburban seems ok in Melbourne… the same cannot be said for Sydney!

Supermarkets that change their store layouts before Christmas. You can see the same people going round in circles looking for stuff.

Supermarkets that only put things on the top shelf and they don’t even move the back stuff forward when the first row is gone.

Dans was looking a bit poorly yesterday in the gin department with many quality ones sold out like Prohibition and Roku and nothing out the back. Yesterday almost encountered the group of youths entering and running amok. Security guard saw them waiting around the bus stop, called the police who came immediately and they were goneski.

But I did get a Cava. The last bottle. Attendant said they don’t stock much. ie. Just this brand. Think it was @RB who pointed me. Took ages to find even with the staff member.

The Fustercluck that is MEL Airport Arrivals pickup at T1/2/3. No wonder touts have business there. The whole thing needs nuking and start again. OK, maybe I'm spoilt with Changi, but I think if you had to design a pick up area for an airport of MEL's passenger levels, it would be a good start to take MEL and do the exact opposite.

On Thursday night faced with a long, slow moving Uber queue we opted for Didi which was also about $7-8 less. The problem is we did not heed my own advice to always book Didi from T4 (my excuse we had a fair bit of luggage, a pathetic excuse really). It took about 20-25 mins, mind you someone we pegged in the Uber queue only got into their Uber a few mins before us.

Traffic into the pickup area was devastatingly slow. People park there forever, instead of just 1-2 mins, they're sitting there for 10 mins and "authorised officers" do absolutely nothing, although if they did, they'd probably be subjected to intimidation.

And then there's the pedestrian crossing at the entrance to the area which blocks traffic flow in two ways - when pedestrians are crossing (of course), but noticed a new trick that people actually stop there for short periods as well. They just sit there even when pedestrians aren't crossing - presumably waiting for a spot to wait park in. We saw this happening several times. On one occasion two vehicles doing this just stayed there for about 3 mins before they moved - even though plenty of times with no pedestrians crossing. Meanwhile blocking other vehicles from having access, and I suspect jamming traffic back beyond the traffic lights. Just selfish a##@holes. One I think even was a taxi-van.
