WCMO?
Had to take my mum to a cardiologist appointment yesterday. We took her car and I dropped her at the Metro station while I went to get a nearby parking spot, which was naturally non-existent. Called her to say that she should get on the train and head to the cardiologist whilst I relocated to a nearby station to get parking and would follow shortly behind her. All good.
Arrived at the station, found a parking spot and then suddenly realised.... I don't have the car key. Where was it? With my mum. On a train. En-route to the cardiologist.
Thankfully hadn't turned the car off at this point (as that would have caused further headaches) and I remembered that mum's car has connected services via mobile app allowing for remote engine start/stop, locking/unlocking et al. Went to open up the app, but it had been "offloaded" from my iPhone. Went to download it and log in, then realised I had 1 bar of signal which was insufficient for downloading the app.
Drove out of the parking spot and moved to a different part of the carpark where there was signal. Succeeded in downloading/installing and accessing the app. App connected successfully to the car. Great! Drove back to the original parking spot. Connection to the car lost. Damn. Drove out and found a different parking spot - phone still has signal. Parked the car in said parking spot. Phone now only has one bar and has lost connection to the vehicle

.
Eventually found another parking spot and parked. Confirmed 2 bars of signal and verified that I could connect to the car and trigger a couple of the vehicle actions (e.g. open/close windows). Feeling somewhat more confident, I switched the car off, jumped out and used the app to remotely trigger the locking of all doors. Phew!
And that leads me to
LTIL....
