What cheeses me off

I’ve seen that. Two w⚓s sitting together both phones on speakers.

Sitting at the bus stop some kid had his phone on speaker and I said politely that’s kind of annoying do you have headphones. He said is that bothering you and no I don’t have headphones and just changed it to watch something else so it was annoying so I just went and sat elsewhere.

There is an increase in people thinking it’s appropriate for everybody to share their phone conversation or whatever they’re watching on their phones in public
Don't be reticent to offer advice, more than once.

Why stop there? Why not get an AVR, a decent set of L/R speakers, a C speaker, some rears, some heights ....... ;)
Because that is overkill to watch TV and does nothing to address the wastefulness of not selling button batteries individually.

There are heap of them if you drive from Adelaide to Mt Gambier via Keith. This is another. I think there are about four different ones. I'll get some more photos if I'm down there again

Kind of reminds me of the classic line: Do you have a nut loose at the wheel?

You'll never be disappointed if you remember; people, are no damn good.
I say people are inherently evil but then Im told Im being harsh.

At the previous apartment there was this one guy who always parked his car in the driveway and you could not convince him that he was wrong and extremely selfish.

New apartment building has 16 units and 4 visitor spaces in front. The same 5-6 owners/tenants take up the visitor spaces for days on end. So visitors have nowhere to park. A few weeks back a handyman for one of the rear apartments parked in front of my garage and there was no way for me to get out. I beeped and he came out and I was angry at him but realised it's not his fault. He was tools and cannot park out on street somewhere. Executive committee not in the slightest interested in adhering to what's painted on the cement that mentions visitor parking only and residents vehicles will be towed at owners expense.

The guy with Mercedes is an @rsehole. Always parks in visitor spot. Last Sunday they panicked and moved the car to garage due to huge storm but then moved car back to visitor parking. The car is not touched for weeks on end. Then Friday they moved car to garage due to another storm and back out immediately after storm passed. For some reason didn't bother moving car last night.

I have no respect for these type of selfish people.

I know this is a positive, it's a road out of Adelaide....... but.......... c'mon, Mount Gambier?! ;) (I'm allowed to say that, as a mate of mine here is from there! :D)

We have a dud website. It's ancient and not used for the business. It's just used because that email address is the one for various notices and it's like changing addresses. There's always one mail you get to the old address that you have forgotten so it takes time to redirect. Anyway it's a rubbish looking one.

I get maybe 10 spam emails a day with that website stating how wonderful the website looks but needs updating. Our actual website - gets no such spam. I can't send from that email address as they changed the owner of the domain services probably 10 times since inception and I have no idea how to take it down. So it means I'm not tempted to tell them where to put their marketing tools. Spam filter seems useless. I could just delete that email but then there will be that one annual important notice that I miss...

Once again it’s inconsiderate drivers. Out to lunch and car park full. But 3 cars with engine running and the driver is sitting and looking at their phone.. On third circuit a woman arrives at her car about 5 spots in front. Jumped in and pulls out
But then on pedestrian crossing a fellow going a lot faster than the 10kph limit goes straight across. Luckily Mrsdrron had stopped.

Hmm. Often sitting in my car with engine running looking at my phone. Oops.

But pedestrian crossings are more dangerous I reckon than crossing on your own. Some just seem oblivious whilst pedestrians assume they will stop. .

WCMO: At a lengthy appointment today. There are smart parking meters in the street. I pull in and select and pay for parking 0918-1305. Realising that the meeting is going to carry on a bit longer I return to the car at 1218 and extend parking from 1305 to 1410.
When I return to the car at 1353 there is a parking fine under the wiper. The notice indicates they checked the car at 1305 ( I was still covered at this time under the initial time at this time) and fine issued at 1307.
So I have to download receipts for payment showing I've paid until 1410 and I take a photo of the meter showing contiguous payment 0918 - 1410. I have submitted a "review request" and reasons and evidence. I don't work so I did have it in mind to turn up to court and show them up for fools.

The penalty notice itself would get thrown out in court because my initial payment was until 1305 and the penalty states times between 1.04 and 1.04PM
Anyway, I am really CO'd.

It's just the hoops you've got to jump through when they are wrong.

A kid in the UK was killed by a train and they think he was watching a video on his phone.

These were the recommendations

It also made two recommendations for Network Rail, in partnership with industry body the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB).

The first was to make the dangerous area at level crossings more noticeable - particularly to people whose attention may be distracted - and the second was to consider whether different approaches to "risk mitigation" at the sites were needed for younger users.

I know this is tragic but there has to be some level on responsibility. I regularly see people run across traffic on red walk signs and they only need to trip and they have no hope.

I feel really sorry for the train driver in this case

And maybe with headphones on so can't hear noise. Tragic lesson that likely others won't learn. Train driver will find it difficult to recover from that.
