What cheeses me off

Let us know when you are going to miss some in the future and someone can lay them on and share the spoils.
I can assure you it's not planned.

P.S. I'm actually in front this year so with these missed bets could have been a great year as these are the cream on top.

At High school I was one of 2 in partnership as the schools bookmaker. It was only the Melbourne cups but in 6 years we never lost. Our best result was when Even Stevens won at 3/1 when our profit was a bit over 100 pounds each. the worst result was with Lord Fury with our profit was just 50 pounds each. The bookies never lost.

But you've said before overall you are not in front that you have lost thousands
In the past yes. I'm not chasing the past. If I did then I'd go nuts.

In 1989 I buy a $117,000 unit in Sydney inner South-West that is now maybe worth $500,000.

In 1992 someone I know bought 2 x $40,000 apartments in Shanghai and they are both worth over $1million each

In 1992 another person I know bought a Queenslander near Brisbane City for around $125,000 and its now worth $3million untouched.

What does that tell you? You need extreme luck.

Not a political post about value of unions….but my 16yr old was coerced into signing up to the union at her casual job today. She had to sign documents to join, and now has 2 weeks to opt out if she desires. A great teaching moment about signing documents that you don’t understand or under pressure.

WCMO is that the Youku app works perfectly fine on my Chromecast monitor. I have now paid a subscription via the phone and I cannot login to the Youku app on Chromecast and I cannot cast either * grumpy grumpy grumpy* have to watch on the tablet I miss my big screen

My point was if I miss a bet there's a good chance it will win. That's scary and that would suggest factors we do not understand are in control.

I’d take it as a good sign actually. This time you might have won. But the fact that you’ve got other priorities that outweigh placing bets is probably a good thing. The sorts of gamblers that get into real trouble with debt would never ever miss a bet.

So it turns out that I forgot the drivers licence in the rental car in Sydney a few days ago. How I missed it and how the person checking car missed it is surprising.

Anyway it costs $29 to get a replacement drivers licence from Service NSW.

Simba happy to send me the drivers licence but there's a $35 fee on top of postage. (Bit steep right?)

They'll hold on to my Driver's licence until I am back again next month.

I am glad it was found.

Punters win enough to keep them coming back to lose more
Some don't really win at all and just keep chasing their money. And some are just plain greedy.

After social golf someone I know went to TAB. I'm there too. They have a few $15 bets where they put $5 win $10 place and they pick up $600+ with a fluke. Instead of collecting and going home they start placing $10 win/$30 place bets and then $20 win/$50 place and before long it's all gone including original balance.

I've never really won anything big on horses but many times I could have walked away from losses/wins on pokies but something kept me there. It's hard to explain for those that do not understand. Lots of times I felt stressed/agitated while I played but when I lost I felt a sense of relief, a sense of achievement. That's a horrible thought but true.

Haven't touched pokies in 18 months but I have a bet on horses. Wish the win rate of the bets I placed was the same as the win rate of the bets I miss but who ever is controlling this simulation wants to keep that a mystery.

One day all may be revealed....

Side bets on our annual golf weekend sees us pump $40 into Keno after each round. Once we won 300 dollarydoos. Mate recently won $34k then $1600 the following week. That CMO.

Some people are blessed and they don't know it.

A guy I played golf with on Saturdays would put $100 on 4 number Keno at $5 a game each Saturday. The number of times he'd collect $600 was unbelievable. The same person would pump money through the pokies and win $2500 Jackpot on $1 machine and next spin win another $2500 Jackpot.

Another guy at our golf club played the 7 number Keno after golf. He accidentally put the 7 numbers again on same game. He won $7500 twice.
