What cheeses me off

Clients who don't answer their phone when I ring back from my mobile instead of the office phone - "because it might be a cold caller or scammer"
WTF! - You asked me to call you? What is the worst that could happen?

"Hello"
"Hi, I wonder when you last reviewed your private health insurance?"
"I'm not interested thank you" .... CLICK..

See, that didn't hurt at all - you moron. He didn't clean out your bank account or transfer the deeds of your house.
I’m sick of it, I don’t want to have that confrontation with someone, and only about 1 in 100 of calls from numbers not in my ‘phone book aren’t going to involve that confrontation.

So I understand not answering. Problem is that 1 in 100, for me, so I do pick up; although I don’t answer, it’s up to the caller to say something first, as most auto-diallers will hang-up if the recipient doesn’t say anything.

I waited about 90 minutes to talk to an ASIC advisor. Sure that is better than calling a particular airline but such a waste of time. My log in password had dropped out at ASIC so I could not access a file i needed.

Unless they memorise or save your number, the worst that could happen calling an unknown mobile is that it could be one of those scams that charges you a huge premium to dial, auto billed.

Or it indiciaires your number is live and valid, which can the. be sold to other scammers.

Thin people who have never gained a pound in their lives commenting on bigger people weight. They have no idea how difficult it is to loss weight (never mind keep if of) so what gives them the right to comment!
I hit 128kg in 2008 and have struggled keeping weight down since.

Chicken pox in 2010 and weight down to 103kg after 11 days in hospital. Weight kept creeping up to 123kg.

Diet in 2016 before daughter born and in 5 months lost ~15kgs down to 108kg then in 2 months of travelling back and forth to Thailand back to 115kg.

Hovered between 115kg and 130kg over next 5 years. Lose 3kg put on 5kg and so on until April 2021 where I could no longer walk much without pain.

I have hit 145kg and now down below 140kg. Trying hard to lose weight but it's not easy. It's not always the intake. The medication doesn't help.

MrsK and I have had success with the Fast800 program (The Fast 800 » By Dr Michael Mosley - The Fast 800), using the 5/2 option. It's not a mad rush to lose weight, and it is designed to help your whole body. I started at 105kg and after 16 weeks I'm now 91kg, and have never felt hungry. We haven't even given up our wine or g&T's, or tried the exercise program.

I have had a problem with weight all my life. But when I finished working I weighed 106kg. By July I weighed 89kg. Since then we have been travelling for 10 of the weeks plus eating out 2-3 times a week when home. This morning I weighed 89kg. for some reason I am finding it hard to lose more weight.
It can be done.

Coles self checkouts that constantly announce, "This assisted checkout accepts....."
It is not an assisted checkout, it is an unassisted checkout.
It is assisted (one attendant for every ~ 10 checkouts instead of attended 1:1). You get assistance if something goes wrong.

I am sure that is how Coles justify the recording, but it sounds like marketing w*nk to make us think we are getting the same service we used to. There is no need to use the word "assisted". This used to be the domain of politicians, but it has crept into corporate speak too much.

Websites that have a chat function but aren't adaptable to iPad or phone usage so you type your query then realise that the 'reply' button is completely hidden and you can't drag the chat box to locate it.

You'd guarantee my attention only by having a caller ID which Google can translate into your company's name on my phone. If I expect a call from the company or it can be related to something that's open, then I pick it up. Otherwise, I'll protect my time & focus & energy and check out the voice mail at a later time. The whole notion of us willingly picking up any and every call cheeses me off...

Brussel sprouts are ok if you roast them- just roll them in a bit of olive oil and salt
Nothing wrong with Brussel sprouts. Boiled/steamed with olive oil, lemon and salt. Delicious.

I refuse to buy them at $16.99/kg. I'll find something else to eat.

Kale is awful. The Thai variety is quite nice.

Again, imo kale is ok as long as is cooked correctly, However I do agree with you regarding Brussels.

My gripe today is websites that send an email to reset your password, but the reset link times out before you get the email.

Drivers who think that at a roundabout you can only proceed if there is no other car in sight.
Surprised you got here in time to poast that, and aren't still stuck behind them at said roundabout!

The flipside are the ones who nearly slam into you even though you were on the roundabout first by a solid margin, and then scream at you like it's your fault I presume because you didn't give way to the right & they're living in 30 years ago's rules.

And drivers who approach the roundabout from your right at high speed and plough straight through erroneously believing they have the right of way when you were clearly at the roundabout entrance first
*high-fives*
