What are your most liked/indispensable travel apps?

I have most of the usual suspects mentioned here but I also use Rail Planner for UK and Europe based timetable planning. Also have a Roman Numeral to Numbers app, when visiting Cathedrals and cemetery's to see how old the dearly departed are.

Maps - of course.
Google Translate. Works on speech, text, and images. Hold it over the menu to see what you are eating!
myTuner Radio - you got a bit of data, might as well listen to a radio station you like and trust instead of Alex Jones and Rush Limbaugh.
Citymapper - doesn't cover every city, but those it does, it's extraordinary. Tells you times for modes of transport, where your bus stop is, how much it will cost, when the next train is due. Awesome.
ABC - for news items.

On my iPad,
iBooks is mandatory. I load it up from Mobilism.org before I go, I have enough good reading to steer me past any number of airport bookshops.
Penultimate - I have an iPencil or whatever Apple call it, and I can jot down notes as I go, rather than attempt typing.
Stan, Netflix, SBS etc. - I can have video wherever I go. Subject to data, of course.

Siri is a bit hit and miss for my taste. Better than Trump, I guess.

I miss Blackberry Travel... was a great app to have. google travel is OK but my company uses Notes and emails are not allowed on android so cant get the benefit...
if someone knows a replacement of BB travel pls do let me know..

Gotta agree with XE, but also enjoy cheapflights and culture trip. Citymapper is indispensable. They just need to add more cities.

Seems I'm not the biggest travel app junky here, almost though.
Could not travel without: eCurrency; Tripit Pro; WhatsApp; Uber; SOS; Wi-Fi Finder; Secure Line; airlines I'm travelling with this trip; Priority Pass; Citymapper; maps.me; Google Translate; my Bank app; Amex app; and Trip Advisor. I also have World Drugs which shows you the name of your medications in the local language world wide. Travel Health (an Aussie app) is also great for peace of mind, or action if necessary.
My IPad reflects the same, plus Books. IPod has all the music along with my Bose Quiet Comfort 35 wireless headphones.

I need XE Converter,Next Stop Paris (for the Metro) otherwise who knows where i might wind up.:-| I also use a couple bank apps as well as Amex and the clock app for time zones. Various airline FF apps. I also need my French dictionaries on occasion.

I agree with the Uber app, the only issue is that it's usually loaded with my Aust mobile No rather than a local, and it's a bit of a pain to change, although the car usually finds me OK. The other one I use is Tripit, its sorts flights, and other travel related information.

Keep, XE Currency, Easy Voice Recorder, Flight Aware, Flight Radar 24, Hilton, Keep Calling, Lapse It, Metro Mate, My TransLink, Navmii, Opal Travel, PTV, Qantas, QR Droid, Radio Australia, Tasks, Google Translate, TripIt, Trip View, Uber, WhatsApp, Word Lens.
Then there are the non travel ones I won't mention.

ABC BBC Airbnb All my bank apps (and yes there are few from churning) AFF, Currently in the Uk so Train Planner and London bus, CellarTracker, Cricket, DayOne, Dropbox (their scan function is excellent while I'm travelling) Evernote, , Toilet Finder, Glympse, Google maps, photos, translate etc, HomeAway, Rome2Rio, Skyscanner, WhatsApp, , Tune in Radio (one of my favourites) WWF, Pocket Casts - much better than Podcasts and they are an Adelaide company - also do the Weather au one, Trip Advisor, yelp and of course Tripit and of course kindle and a few games

Travel - Expert Flyer and Tripit, for me if it is not in Tripit it does not exist.

Cars and public transport - Hyperdia, Dial7, uber, silvertop, tramtracker, New York Subway, Beverly Hills Cab, InGoGo

XE, Google Earth, various banking apps, airline apps, trip view, seat guru, Tripit, WhatsApp; Uber; maps me; Trip Advisor, Tripview for Sydney public transport and Viber although with FaceTime rarely use Viber.
I found maps.me fantastic in mainland China last year.

My iphone is employer supplied, and they of course go for the cheapest model, so it's only a 16 Gb. As I prefer to travel with just one phone, this means I have a constant rotation of apps on and off the phone.

The constants that I use during travelling are google chrome, google maps, Kayak, Singapore Airlines, uber, xe.com, Concur plus my banking apps. The rest wax and wane according to where I am, what chains I'm staying in, or airlines I'm flying and how much memory I need to find (although recently I've discovered the rent War and Peace trick, that gave me a breather on the memory). These include spg, Hilton, expedia, MH, QF, Scoot, rome2rio, various airline and train apps ...

For me it's TripIT, Uber and XE Currency, although I typically use ANZ's forex webpage these days as it's closer to what I'm actually getting.
Interestingly customs officers (at least in the UK) are now taking TripIT as evidence of plans. So for my last few international trips I haven't even bothered taking a paper copy of my itinerary.


I do have the Qantas QStreaming app, but I think the last time I used that was a year ago, on a 717 service which had QStreaming as it's only entertainment.
