There have been a couple of app threads, but I was wondering which apps you FFer's have found to be the most useful.

I'm not an app person, but I do use the Hilton booking app and the Uber app and less frequently the VA and QF management app, but apart from them, most of my loaded apps must feel like neglected orphans.

Does anyone have app suggestions that they would struggle to live without?

I use the Qantas App.
I only use Cabs and not Uber but have both loaded but unused.
I'm a Samsung type of guy (My wife is Apple though), so annoyingly I can't get a Virgin App with membership details etc. like the Qantas one.
I've loaded the Opal app for viewing when in Sydney.
Also have the Myki Melbourne Public ticket thing.
Finally, I have the J+ and Tiger apps just for fun, but don't use them.

XE Currency, China Taxi Book, ABC News, Image Size (Pic resizer), AFL, Rome2Rio, Netflix, Yahoo Weather, Google Translate, Priority Pass, Shanghai/Beijing Subway Maps, C-Trip and dare I add Uber.

Remember Karl Malden? Don't leave home without them!

Yeah, he was the guy with a nose that looked like it had been boxed too many times!

Now Google translate sounds good. Is it effective?

I might also add phone apps for top ups. Mine are Amaysim and Digicel!

It's 100% accurate - look!

Just kidding mate - just kidding. But in reality it works ok to get you over the line in most instances.

Without TripIt I wouldn't even know where I'm going and where I'm sleeping!!! Also, without TripIt I would most likely double book hotels for the same night...

I have AFF, SQ, Flight Radar 24, BNE Airport, BOM, QF and VA WiFi thingies XE Currency also HH and Accor

As long as we call them "applications" ...

XE Currency pro; TripIt pro, CommBank, Google Translate, Airlines I am using, Hotel chains I am using, Overseas airports I am using, White Noise #, Flight radar 24, Voice memo, and Xero are the ones I actually use all the time when I'm travelling.

# Plays various soothing noises, such as river running, crackling fire or waves crashing ... to cover local ambient noise to help sleep. brilliant.

BA, IHG, Hilton, XE Currency, Taxi Book, MyFlights, Tripit, Google Translate, Amex, Westpac Priority Pass, ExpertFlyer.

As has been mentioned before: Google Translate.
The best feature is the camera instant translate (Which was WordLens before Google bought them).
Also, any local weather or transport apps.

Hope I'm not the only one who went to the app store and searched for "Airlines I am using"...

Things to Do list for Monday 10th July 2017.

* 1) Google local App developers.

* 2) Engage most suitable App developer.

* 3) Retire to a life of F Lounges and Suites.

* 4) Slide me 5% of your annual income from said App.

;)

TripIt Pro, XE, Google Translate, Expedia, QF App, Weather Underground, various Airline/Hotel apps (although 90% hotel bookings through expedia), Trip Advisor and various miscellaneous ones depending on location.

TripIt Pro is indispensable for me.

XE.com, Countdown (more for keeping my spirits up pre-holiday!), Hotels.com (would be much better if they didn't use Apple Maps), FlightRadar24 and Google Maps.

When in China, Baidu Maps, the China Railways app, Alipay and the Alitravel app are great.

My flights

Seat alerts

Flight stats

OCD when it comes to flight changes and seat selection

Hilton, Qantas and ex currency apps

Maps (apple), Guardian, XE, IMDB, Spotify, Netflix, Banking as required by CC churn :) (BOQ and HSBC - your apps are AWFUL), VA, QF, SQ, BNE airport, fr24, expertflyer, kayak, uber, airbnb, strava, google translate, espn cricinfo, optus sport, whatsapp, QQ, skype, seabreeze & willweather, vivino. Oh and ruler. turning my smartphone screen into a ruler surprisingly gets used more than I would have expected.

Oh and special mention to apple pay and wallet - both of those are used daily.

Still for me the most incredible app is google translate and the photo technology. Being able to translate a menu in China or Japan is brilliant.

A few more I haven't seen mentioned: Transit, Trusted Contacts, WiFox, Taxify, AlcoDroid, HERE WeGo, CheckMyTrip, WeChat, Google Trips, Waze, Untapped, the 'Your timeline' feature of Google Maps and dare I say Tinder :)
