What’s your favourite souvenir?

I should also mention the tops from beer bottles made or consumed in the places I have travelled to outside Australia.
At last count there was over 150 different brands in the collection.
Thanks Spongbob - I like it (even though I don't drink). How do you display them? I have to admit I do always buy coasters from every place I visit when I used to go to this place known as ‘overseas’? They do have great memories
My favorite are individual slate coasters from Tintern Abbey in Wales.😀

The beer bottle tops are not on display, they are kept in a glass jar.
A certain cat plays a type of fetch game with them.

Oh, I forgot about the drink coasters: thanks for reminder.

I might rustle up a Pic of my favourites (also like those small trays which make a lovely afternoon coffee/cake reminiscence).…..
I need some levity in the Covid-soaked onslaught - important to know the facts to function daily - but I need respite from negativity ( that is an observation not a judgement). 😃

Trying to sort stuff out, boy have I collected some souvenirs over the years. Right back to first big OS trip in 1976!

Somebody in another thread most things will go to landfill after death, they are going to need a large skip for all my junk! :)

And what do you do with all those old brochures. I moved last year and they are in a big box in the basement. I can't quite let go yet

Trying really hard to 'downsize', anything sentimental I'll keep, others will be recycled. All the rally stuff, road books and so on I'll try to find some one that wants them. Any one want a competitors road book from the 1976 1000 Lakes Rally in Finland? :)

Welcome to SAA (Souvenir Addicts Anonymous)!!!
I have decided whilst in lockdown - although I’m sorting - I‘m keeping it all ….to pretend I’m still travelling to this place called ‘overseas’ when I bring them out.. you’ve inspired me do have another look at the Travel section of the study….
I found a copy of a Jackie Collins novel I read on a beach on a Greek Island in the 198o’s (talk about confessions) and it contains actual sand and still stinks of reef oil (aah the days before slip slip slap)…. Back to sorting and who knows what we’ll find 😂😂😂

Agree - Wonderful tour…. There is also a very good book about her incredible life.. losing husband and taking over the wine businesss hence the name Veuve(widow). ….she also invented parts of the bubbling process… real trailblazer and boy could she network. Love the story about Napoleon putting a huge tariff on her wines; so she put her contacts to work in Russia and when they beat Napoleon they paid a fortune to buy her champagne!!!😂😂
