Hi Everyone.
Any advice please? After using my Altitude reward points converted to Q ff points to book travel to Asia I find that I am not covered by Gold card insurance because of the 150,000 points required for my husband and I to travel, a small portion namely 3000 were directly awarded from Qantas for paid interstate travel therefor I am forced to take out private travel insurance for 14 days cover. All taxes were paid using Amex which is part of the program.Seems mean spirited on behalf of AIG and Altitude. AIG tell me only converted Altitude points redemptions will get the cover. Qantas does not differentiate between points when taking the booking.
