Made the spend limit within the first statement period, spend points were credited but not the bonus.
What's been people experience in turn around time for bonus to appear in QFF account?

Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

On Friday I signed up for a Westpac Reward Saver account (no monthly fee), and that was approved and set up by Saturday afternoon. Then I applied for the Altitude card with just a modest limit. Done! Cards received a few days later. Bring on the bonus points! I haven't had to go into a branch either, even though I had never been a Westpac customer before. Even if I had to it would have been worth it for the 50k bonus points. In retrospect, I probably should have started with the Westpac eSaver account - it also has no monthly fees but has unlimited free transactions. Doesn't matter, though, I guess - I don't plan to use the savings account at all.

Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

if an existing a Altitude card holder that applies for this offer and ends up getting their bonus can you please post here so i can i apply too? i was told on the phone by a rep not very confident quoting website last sentence of terms "Existing Westpac customers who currently hold an Altitude, Altitude Platinum or Altitude Black credit card, or who have held one in the last 12 months, are not eligible for this offer." thus i probably would not get the points as im already an existing Altitude card holder but i think it may work. thus awaiting confirmation from any existing Altitude card holder when they get the points.. also wife has wbc internet log on but no accounts as shes just a secondary card holder. would she qualify to apply for this offer without having to open up a rewards saver account since she has a westpac log on?

I applied for the cards as an existing black westpac card holder but reckon I wont get the points so haven't activated yet.

I successfully received the last round of Platinum bonus points (no fee) as an existing Black holder.
Did the same for my wife, and no bonus points have come through...

Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

Just reporting in. I was an existing Altitude Business Platinum card holder, got my 50k points credited for Black card this morning. Contemplating applying for the Platinum but will await feedback about the experience with this.

To hold a Westpac eSaver, customers must hold a Westpac transaction or savings account in the same name.

In the case of Mrs 2tall4Y, her card was activated on 18 July and the minimum spend met that day - the first statement was dated 11 August, and it included the 50,000 bonus points. She's not sure exactly when the points hit her QFF account, but I think it was a few days after the statement was processed.

Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

Just applied for a basic card. I used to have a checking account with Westpac and had a supplementary card. Online banking is still active with no account. If they don't treat it as an existing customer, I will just pay $100 as I'm not keen on creating accoutn and close later. As a self employed with a low income, I'm curious to see how Westpac will treat me. I applied with amex, citi and anz with no issue. Amex even approved me when my income didn't meet the minimum requirement. :D Might be the first time I get rejected.

Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

So Westpac rejected my app for a basic card. And ANZ just approved me for Platinum QFF that I applied 10 mins after. :D Will ask my partner who has been banking with Westpac to signup instead.

Oh man I wish I knew how these assessments work. Westpac, Amex, ANZ was instant approval for me. NAB, Macquarie declined.

I was quite lucky as a self employed. The only instant approval I got was ANZ (just once). Never with Amex but they approved all cards without asking for anything including the ones that I didn't meet an income requirement. Citi was too much trouble but still approved me. Even Citi USA approved my app after banking with them. Westpac is the most difficult so far.

Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

I was quite lucky as a self employed.

Technically I'm self-employed too - but I've been paid for the last 2 years on my own payroll so by this stage I'm an employee, so I never tell banks this directly as I don't like the discrimination self-employed's receive, even though they can see my directorship in Veda. If they wanna speak to my payroll team they can go right ahead.

Even Citi USA approved my app after banking with them.

What did you need for this?

Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

What did you need for this?

80% of my income is from the US (pay tax in Australia) so I set up an account there. Thats probably why Westpac doesn't like my statements. Westpac also didn't ask for accountant info on the form. That made me think they werent self employed friendly.

Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

What's the deal with the Qantas Lounge access here - it states up to 4 Lounge visits - 2 at Qantas and 2 at Amex Lounge - is access to Qantas via physical Pass or via sighting of Card does anybody know?

Edit - Seek and ye shall find - for the benefit of others you must firstly register at Altitude Rewards then you must spend at least $50 on this card with Qantas:
[SUP]1[/SUP] To be eligible for the two complimentary Qantas Club Lounge Invitations, you must first register your details above and then use your Altitude Black card in Australia to purchase selected Qantas products and services. Selected Qantas products and services are the following items purchased directly from Qantas: Qantas passenger flights (with a QF flight number), Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Club membership joining and annual fees. Excludes Jetstar, Qantas Holidays, Qantas branded non-airfare products and any Qantas products and services not purchased directly from Qantas. Each year, you will receive two complimentary lounge invitations once you have made the required spend on selected Qantas products and services.
Looks like another $50 Qantas Gift Voucher purchase coming up.

Cruiser I've been looking at swapping my Alt Black over to QF rewards to take advantage of the lounge pass offer for some JQ flights next year, but have no immediate plans to spend on QF, so have held off.

Buying a $50 gift card would be OK though - does it actualy say $50 minimum anywhere? I can't see that anywhere.

Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

I actually called Westpac Plat and after 2 handballs the agent I spoke to me advised me was $50 spend - I remember buying $50 Gift Cards on 2 previous occasions - TBH I cannot remember why but it may have been same reason on other cards.

I think in the past people have purchased $20 points topups - any reason to think this will be different?

Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

The $20 points top up was for the Amex Qantas Premium cc. It required you to make a purchase with Qantas to get two lounge passes and the cheapest way was $20 points top up

Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

Seems like Westpac site got a makeover, and accordingly possibly their T&C's. I don't remember this statement being there before, or at least it wasn't clear...? It just said "Exclusions apply" with no mention in T&C's. I may be wrong however.

Existing Westpac customers who currently hold an Altitude, Altitude Platinum or Altitude Black credit card, or who have held one in the last 12 months, are not eligible for this offer.

Also note Altitude Business Platinum is missing from that list.

Also any idea what "Enjoy up to four complimentary airport lounge visits each year - two with your rewards program" entails? This is pretty open ended. I got the Black Rewards so I could technically get it for VA/EY/EK/SQ/QF Intl correct?
