No one is talking about the new Sheraton, which is why I referred to a past time frame, your post was the first to mention new! It was the demise of the MEL Sheraton some 5years ago along with BNE that saw this SPG PLAT move to another chain, as I do 180 to 240 night a year in Australian hotels, the ongoing demise of SPG hotels has vindicated my decision.

Calm down, I clearly mentioned 'new' in my post and you missed it - no biggie.

LOL, I am calm, just miss the way they treated their plats and the locations I could enjoy the hospitality, I have good memories of some memorable redemptions at SPG properties that made up for the long weeks on the road alone.

Me too it's a real shame they seem to be losing traction in Aus and NZ.

but keep reminding Head office that there are a few places crying out for an SPG property-like New zealand,brisbane,Adelaide,Perth and even poor old Hobart.
