Westfund Private health insurance

I've been with Westfund since i had to get cover of my own (could not be considered a dependent under my parents), all these years I've been with Westfund.

They are not for profit.

I was quite impressed, I upgraded our plan to cover pregnancy and we were serving out our 12months waiting period, however we fell pregnant & would be due when we still had 2-3months left to serve of the waiting period.
They had no issues covering us 100% anyway.

If you're interested and you get me to refer you (I'll name, contact # & email over PM) and you stay a member more than 30 days, we both get a $100 egift card each.

The gift card can be redeemed for quite a few retailers, the one that caught my eye for the woolies egift card but there are heaps more retailers. No prepaid Visa/MC cards though.

Do you know when the gift cards are sent? From the conditions it seems like you're eligible after 30 days but they could take 2 weeks to send them, or maybe 30 days?

eGift cards are distributed after the new member has passed the 30 day cooling off period, maintained an eligible level of cover and is a financial member of Westfund Health Insurance.
eGift cards are distributed on a fortnightly basis and will be sent within 30 days of the review period finishing.

Also it doesn't seem clear which products are eligible, is a hospital only or extras only policy ok or do you need to combine them?

I'll find out which plans are eligible.
I've only referred a friend so far and it came right on day 30.

Perhaps I got lucky with the cycle
