Not really a 22 min delay 1100 is it's pushback time and I think it was 3 or 4 mins late on pushback ,1122 was takeoff.

Departure time was recorded as 1107. Technically still on time.

Depends on what definition you’re using! I come from the ICAO world where the departure time is a set course time for flight planning, not pushback although these days everyone seems to use AOBT as the default.

Small shindig with free ice cream happening at OOL. I am standing in gate 19 trying to catch a glimpse of the inbound getting a presumed but totally superfluous today water cannon salute

On the inaugural...
The morning fog in Melbourne almost put me at risk of missing the flight, but got there in time thanks to empty roads.

Super cool!

Amazing how many politicians are taking credit for building WSI.
It wasn’t until March 2014 that the Federal Government finally announced that Badgery’s Creek would be the site of WSI and 2018 when construction began.
My father was part of the Federal and State committee that added Badgery’s Creek to the list of places for the site of Sydney’s second airport. He retired in 1986 quite frustrated at the squabbles over the airport site.

Indeed, was it not in 2012 the then-Transport Minister Albanese rejected Badgerys Creek for a site for investigation in Wilton?

Quite glad the pin was pulled eventually and we are here.
