Not the only reason, WSI has good connectivity to the Sydney Motorway network. A lot of the logistic hubs are located along these, or even just needing to exit good out of Sydney would be much easier from WSI.

Yes, definitely not the only reason and I should have clarified between domestic and International. Domestic definitely wouldn’t have moved had WSI been not curfew free. SYD had become a massive noose around the domestic freight network and hopefully once the bugs are ironed out WSI will become the pot of gold businesses had hoped for

Apparently this is the first passenger flight inbound to WSI (they must be positioning something in to operate the inaugural to OOL), and the first flight WSI-MEL

That makes sense, I believe the aircraft operating to OOL would just be an empty ferry to WSI. Hopefully you catch some of the festivities on opening day.
