Wendouree allocations and general discussion

So a follow-up to my earlier post about my order form being delayed. I called Aust Post yesterday to find out what's going on. 40mins on hold and then disconnected. I called back and spoke with a staff member who said it was still in the sorting centre for some reason going around in circles. She initiated an intercept request for someone to manually post it on and it should be there by Tuesday next week. Anyway I called Wendouree this morning to explain that my order arriving late was in no way reflective of enthusiasm for their wine and they told me they had received my order 4 days after I posted it, contrary to the Aust Post tracking info. Phew. Here's hoping.

Second year running receiving my letter that there are no allocations and I'm added back to the list for next year.

My first 2 years were the same, then got an order form in year 3 but didn't receive anything. It was 4th year lucky for me last year.

Can anyone let me know in 20 years time how the 24b ages compared to the standard
So, I crack a few cabs last week and found the more recent vintages very approachable, bordering on quite light. The older ones deeper and richer and more full bodied.

I have a friend who also worked thru a vertical of recent and aged Malbec and also said the same "The modern wines are lighter in style than years gone by."

We both agreed that the younger wines didn't appear to have the backbones of yonder, to be able to age like have done in the past.

Anyone else experienced this?
