Wendouree allocations and general discussion

I've driven through and flown over the Yarra Valley a lot lately...

Should stop and try the wine sometime

Went to my offsite wine storage today to transfer my Wendouree (and some other wines) from the common deliveries area into my locker.

There was no less than 3 Wendouree deliveries to this location still awaiting pick up. I explained to the guy that this particular winery does one big mail out per year and he "got it" given the volume they have accepted on behalf of customers recently.

Didn't get my full allocation, but the credit card relief is good.

First timer. Sydney. Ordered a mixed dozen (no shiraz or cabernet). Had my credit card hit today for $314 which sounds like 6 bottles plus delivery. Now to wait and see what lands. Off the mark ...

Delivered today. 6x Shiraz Malbec. I'll take that.

I do like their new stationary.

I wonder if the unique number correlates to your importance? :p

mine is a generic delivery docket, maybe the new stationary hadn't arrived when mine were sent out

Who knows, maybe I am just going mad.

They post me an invoice to my PO box, but the wine shows up at the storage location.

Does your delivery docket have the Wendouree logo on it?

They send a separate letter to me with the docket and transaction receipt - same address as the cartons get delivered to

Got a letter today to say that they could not supply any of my order due to high demand. Devestated.

Picked up 2 boxes of Shiraz Malbec from Oz post this morning. They came yesterday and despite the instruction to leave at door, the courier took the boxes back to Post office for safety. Wouldn't complain about that. I just wonder if anyone in Melbourne got to many bottles of Shiraz Mataro or Cab Malbec this year and want to swap 1-2 bottles with my Shiraz Malbec? Thanks.

I thought you were a Wendouree Super Elite who got everything?

In any case, whilst this may be disappointing, given your excessive wine stocks it probably isn't the end of the world. I didn't get all that I asked for, which is probably a blessing. There is always next year.

I dont know what a super elite is. But I am hand written signature and have been for some time. I've definitely never got everything I have asked for but I've usually got most of what I have ordered. But clearly loyalty means little to them. It all seems very much like a lottery now. I've bought from them even in their average/poor years. Stunned to get nothing at all this year.

Did your order go in extra late - due to being away?

No. Went in within 2 days of receiving it. I contacted them and asked that my order not be shipped until I returned to Australia. Said they could debit my credit card whenever they liked. They agreed.

I think it's a combination of when the form gets returned and which state gets processed first for that year matters. Datapoint: my form was received on 7/7 and mailed back to them on the same day via express back in Clare by 10/7. I would hate to be the Brady's having to come up with ways to make this anymore equitable and ensure the longtimers get rewarded.
