Wendouree allocations and general discussion

No. Went in within 2 days of receiving it. I contacted them and asked that my order not be shipped until I returned to Australia. Said they could debit my credit card whenever they liked. They agreed.

hand signature is the highest status you can get from wendouree, but Sydney was very late this year to receive the wine, people from SA actually received them within 2 weeks of the forms been send out.then tassie ,wa, even qld got it ahead of us!

I guess you will be able to discuss it with them when you go for the private visit

I just received a response to my request to join the mailing list - they will do a list review next year and place my name amongst those 'wanting to join'. Sounds like there's a lot of new interest in their wines.

Probably a long shot but I am wondering if anyone here, ideally in SA is wanting to sell any bottles?
Graduating this year and I was hoping to gift this to the tutors and professors that has helped me along the way.

They can be picked up on Langton's if no one offers - try here

Can you access any of the reviews? Haliday, wine front, cellar tracker, wine searcher etc?

Wendouree does not send its wines out for review.

But I've heard from good authority that the 2014 is as good as anything within the last decade.

If you are not already, why not write out a letter and send it off - you should get something next year

Can definitely try. But allocations seems tighter than ever.

Not really relevant, there are reviews of these wines, maybe the reviewer's purchased?
It's absolutely relevant. Or you don't think that there is a difference in reviews where the reviewer received a free sample as compared to buying the product themselves?

There are definitely reviews available. I did not suggest otherwise. But as I said, Wendouree does not send their products for review.

Gift or gifts? Nice :) Are you at Adelaide? They might have an equivalent to Melbourne University's University House, who have an annual Wendouree offer (sorry, unfortunately I don't have that email anymore, meant to post it earlier so people could compare prices)

Wendouree does not send its wines out for review.

Like some other wineries, though that doesn't mean that they aren't reviewed :)

You have lost me Dr Ralph?

The OP asked if anyone knows much about the '14 vintage, my post asked if the op had access to reviews, wether the reviewers paid for the wine isn't relevant to the OP's access. Are you saying reviews from Cellar tracker are not useful as the wine was purchased - or Gary/Campbell's reviews on The Wine Front ?

I'm sure there'll be something on the inter-webs about them. Got a response from Wendouree saying they are doing a list review next year. So fingers crossed!

So on to the 2018 allocations... has anyone heard from Tony / Lita for this years allocation? I noticed it should be anytime now?

A few more weeks I think. But they are often staggered.

The letters came out around the first week of July last year
Thanks JakeBarnes. They seem to fluctuate between May - July so I thought I’d ask. Good to know I haven’t missed out as I’m still renovating my house and my mail redirection has been inconsistent.
