Web Checkin Error

Went to check on seating allocation for fridays flights using web checkin but when I select seating I get the following message.

"An unexpected error has occurred. Please see a Virgin Australia Customer Service Agent at the airport to complete your check in at least 90 minutes prior to your departure time."

As one of the flights is on an embraer I was unable to select seating when I booked.Thought I would be able to select using web checkin but no such luck.
Anyone else had this message as 90 mins at Ntl with no lounge is not my idea of a good friday.Booking is a J reward seat.
