Today is the first day of my new Velocity membership year, and I logged in hoping to see 4 new upgrade credits, and instead found the following message:

I would have thought the system would be able to process it automatically overnight, like it does for upgrades, so I wonder if this means there is some sort of manual intervention required. My partner's account is a day ahead of mine, and has this same message as well.

Bring on Sabre & hopefully these things will get sorted soon!
 
Mine took about two weeks to process for my Gold requalification. it will happen.

Ah didn't see the other posts. That's a bit frustrating - I've got flights booked in the next month that I want to book upgrades on. There are upgrades currently available, but if I have to wait 2 weeks for the upgrade credits to appear and then miss out I'm going to be somewhat annoyed.

That's the other option, however my work travel has been switched back to QF from October 1, so I'm not going to have many more Flexi fares with DJ to upgrade anyway beyond that. For personal domestic travel I generally book saver/red-e-deals, so the next 4 weeks of work flights are my best chance to use the credits - but who knows when they might actually appear!

Same here. Slightly annoying as i'm heading OS next week and had rather hoped to have my new card to avoid complexities at partner lounges. Alas.
 
My review date is today and everything looks ok on the site for me.

Maybe tomorrow it will go haywire. And yes it would have been nice to have a new plat card in my hands seeing I requalled months ago.. m

Hi 777 I called the Platinum line this morning and they said my card was posted on the 31 August, so hopefully they did all the re quals on that day. As for the change on the Web Site they said that can take up to 2 to 4 weeks due to retro claims, even though I am aware you quailified the same as me at least 6 months early. They were helpful despite me advice that they always fail to communicate things to Platinum Members (that is one of my only gripes with DJ). Look out in the post.
 
Mrsdrron's date was 1/9 but her account now shows the we are assessing as others have stated but also you may continue to enjoy the benefits of status until 1/10.

I get the reassessing message - currently allowed to use my privilleges until 29 Sep. I note my remaining upgrades have gone but the bonus upgrade is still there.
 
Still waiting from the 23rd August.

I think I had the "assessing" message for about a week, but I'm now exactly one week from the end of my 1 month run over period and no new card yet.

I'm only a couple of days into my "assessment" and I can't say I'm overly impressed. The message gives all of the wrong signals. It is worded in such a way to cast doubt over my status for the coming year. (I'm a status matched chap, but with 1500+ SC's in the year.)

DJ does a lot of things well, this is most definitely not one of them.

I don't agree with this business of waiting just in case there are retro claims. You get the benefits for an extra month anyway, so even if they "assessed" you down a level, they could put you back up if the credits came through during the next month, so it's a poor excuse. Qantas don't have this issue - whatever you're on the day is what they give you with no grace period, and if SCs do come in late then a quick call gets it sorted. This is basically causing an issue for everyone, when the issue of retro credits at the point of assessment will really only affect a few.

In my case I'm on 1890 SCs with over 50 DJ segments, so I don't even know what needs to be assessed!! Maybe they should just hold off for those who have come in 10-20% below qualifying?

I do want to use the upgrade credits and it's quite poor that they are not available at my renewal date as a published benefit. If they can do an assessment overnight to upgrade status, then the same should happen for renewals.

I, too, have the "reassessing" message. However, I rang up to use up the extra upgrade and the Velocity staff member indicated to me that they could see that I have requalified and had 4 (+1) upgrades available, even though only the bonus upgrade was showing on my account when I looked.

So...if you know you've requalified and need to use the new complimentary upgrades not yet showing on your account - ring and ask and it seems as if you will be able to.
 
The message is gone this morning and my new platinum status is there. Still no sign of a new card before i leave though.
