WBC Altitude Black MasterCard and AmEx Query

Exactly. Hence their lack of Amex.

Wrong again. Citibank USA were issuing AMEX cards when they had the DC USA franchise and were major shareholder of DC International.

Citibank's lack of AMEX has nothing to do with the DC ownership as AMEX don't care about that and neither do Citibank. The deals between Banks and AMEX are very simple and straightforward. The bank carries the credit risk and gets the revolving balance and they share the annual fee (in some cases).

Companion cards were a cynical ploy to get AMEX cards into the market at low cost.

That ship has now sailed.

Did anyone with a Westpac Black card read the revised TnC on the latest statement?

I couldn't work out what it was getting at. Seems to indicate that, unlike other cards in the Altitude scheme (basic, plat, etc) the black will have unlimited points earn. I thought this was already the case.

Other bit related to bonus points, I thought it might be changing so that bonus points would no longer be included in the cap.

Anyone else get this on their statement and/or understand the changes?

You are right there never was a cap on points earned. Perhaps they are just clarifying it in comparison to their other reward cards.
I didn’t get any new terms and conditions with my February statement (March not due until 20[SUP]th[/SUP]).
The web page shows no cap on black and the cap does not include bonus points even on their other cards.

I also read the reams of conditions attached to my recent statement. I took it to mean that the Earth Black card is still an unlimited earn for points. The other wording just seemed to remove the words Bonus Partners and replace with Bonus Points. No change for Earth Black card holders, I think.
