I am very excited as through applying for some credit cards this last year I have worked out a family trip to Queenstown with Qantas and a romantic trip with my hubby to Fiji with Virgin for my 40th birthday in August- Yeah! We haven't travelled out of Australia other than a cruise so I can't wait :). Does anyone know any deals/hacks for getting Qantas or Virgin lounge passes? I spent a lot of time looking up credit cards that give free lounge access but it's not worth the yearly fee as we don't travel usually. No problem if there is no cheap deals for lounge passes, it would just be icing on the cake ;).

Personally I would check the lounge wikis on this site to see if AFFers are travelling at the same time and have guest spots (preferably for the QF FLounge). If not, I would save your money and buy a coffee or beer/wine and a bite in the airport.

Welcome aboard infrequent-flyer, are any of your cards direct Amex? You may get into the Amex lounge in SYD

some people sell them on a different site.
not sure if its legal or against the rules?

Thanks for the idea, however the amex card I have I am about to cancel as my free year of having it is nearly up. It gave me 75000 FFpoints though so was worth it.
