Anyone stayed in this hotel recently?

Looking to book a couple of nights for next year and W has a reasonable P+P option.

Was wondering if you get the full W experience there or is it overrated like so many other hotels in Paris.

I prefer the Westin - use your SNAs here, better breakfasts as plat benefit, a little more abrupt service but functional

W Paris - stayed here for a week, rooms very small unless you pay for a suite, only continental breakfasts as plat benefit, open plan bathrooms, but nice corridors, decors and stairs

Thanks for the advice. W Paris sounds very similar to the one in London. Does it at least have a cool bar and nightclub as well?

not really a bar/nightclub traveller, so don't recall that but there sure was loud music on most nights ala W
but did have drinks at the area opposite to reception

Stayed last December in a suite. Great location, suite was pretty small. Was offered/given full breakfast. The nightclub is on the second floor and has been through a few different themes/names/locations so I don't think it is really working well. The more casual lounge next to the entrance is quite pleasant and has a good range of coughtails.

Cheers burrco.

Although I'm platinum I'm not very lucky with suite upgrades at Ws and worry the standard rooms in Paris may be too small.

Still tossing between W and Westin, what would you recommend as best value for platinums considering they are both similar price per night?

I can't give you an unbiased opinion as I really dislike the Westin. The W Paris is a small(ish) hotel - but unlike some other Ws they are good with upgrades. I've had three four nights stays(all at off peak times) and been upgraded to Marvelous suites on all stays (once using SNA). But again a small popular hotel there is a big possibility you get what you book or an upgrade to a small room with the opera view.

The W is ten times better than the Westin - but if room size is important the entry level rooms at the W are small, really small. I saw one cozy room and putting a suitcase on the room would basically leave no spare space. Sleeping in a glorified closet would also make me less forgiving towards service lapses.

It's very rare but sometimes the Prince de Galles doesn't price out to much more than the W (if using a buy y stay x rate). Other times it starts 200+euro more :(
