Hi all
I recently purchased a OS airfare for next year via my paypal account using my citibank signature visa card would I still be eligible for the free international travel insurance paying that way? And if I am, is this free insurance worthwhile or should one buy travel insurance separately.
Thanks

Not too sure. You might need to call Citibank on that one. The T&Cs just say that you need to have charged the cost of the overseas ticket to the cardholder's card. I would assume that your case applies but don't take my word for it.

Re. the pros & cons of credit card insurance, make sure you read the T&Cs carefully to ensure that (a) you're actually covered and (b) the level of cover is acceptable to you. We've seen a number of AFF members get caught out with credit card insurance.

Taking out another policy is generally the safest option, but if you're happy with the level of cover you'll get from the credit card insurance then this may not be necessary.
