Glad to see VA listening about the spirts (and a decent Voddy too!). It's a pity the museli is gone (it was yummy) but I understand the space problems for that one. As long as they never, ever get rid of my favourite, the Morish Nuts Premium Selection , I will be happy. Generally though, I think I will be going back to my early days with Virgin Blue (their original menus were a bit thin on choice) and just bring my own nibblies, chocolate, museli bars etc. Quick question for those in the know...can we bring a thermos on board? Might solve the problem for those of us who would like hot choc/milo, or a decent coffee.

the New Yorkers are awesome. One is going to be in mah belly in about an hour's time.:D

Unfortunately, you can't bring hot drinks onboard. You could argue that it's in a sealed container moreso than a take-away cup, but it's still technically a hot drink and could potentially be dangerous in a rejected take-off etc.

Since when is low carb healthy? It is a nice marketing fad!

If you do not eat enough carbs, and high amounts of proteins, you will end up with what may potentially be dangerous to your health with elevated ketone levels in your systems.

I assure you I get plenty of carbs!

As a sweet tooth, I'd love to see a few more choccys added (how about an assortment of Belle Fleur chocolates on flights out of Sydney, Mayfields for those out of Brisbane etc etc??)

Sitting in the Qantas Flounge in Sydney right now and the coffee is rubbish. Add to that the fact I couldn't get a decent barista coffee in the Jlounge leaving Melbourne this morning, it's quite disappointing.

Well done Virgin for having decent coffee in the lounges, all of the time!

Is that the barista coffee they provide in the F/L on order?

Yep - they are serving the el cheapo variant of Vittoria which I can't stand. Others may disagree but to me it is always bitter and harsh. Plus they cooked the milk and i think the machine needs a good clean. Mind you I've never been a huge fan of most coffee I've had in Sydney anywhere, being from Melbourne and all ;)

The DJ lounges however I actually haven't had a bad coffee yet. Surprising considering it's a different person making it each time.

Mind you, I'm off to NAN so for what I paid for the flight I can't really complain!
