Hi everyone,

Been lurking since January when I went on a work trip and basically pushed me over to Silver on Velocity and a new obsession in Frequent flyers was born.

Its funny how different I look at day to day spending now haha

Anyways, looking to go to the UK mid September for 2 weeks and have been looking around and was trying to stick with Velocity earners while not spending too much.

VAustralia V Saver - Economy (G, K, H) is code sharing with Etihad

I assume being VSaver this will net 0.75 per mile and 20% bonus

If I book through Etihad website pretty much similar flights (1 is even codesharing on the way back with Vaustralia) the earn rate is then 1:1 25% bonus (I think)

Am I correct in assuming it is better for me to book through etihad, pay the same price earn better points... or am I simplifying things?

Thanks in advance!

Exactly, I guess I will just have to book through Etihad.. only downside is I was contemplating doing premium economy for the VA return leg but wouldn't be able to book that through Etihad

Well, managed to get an awesome deal on premium economy for the VA legs so booked with virgin codes but will be getting 1.25 per mile

I think.. think because the whole booking is through premium I get 1.25 the whole way

I could be wrong though, anyone know for sure?
