Every time Virgin does a survey, I make a comment about the need for a Virgin lounge (albeit in Launceston as that suits me better). I hope you make the same comment for Hobart. Until that time, I am a rusted on Q Club member.

Maybe VA should just do what Priority Pass does to Sydney airport, by giving out $20 vouchers for travellers to spend at the Hobart airport eateries.

Nope. Still sitting with the plebs out of NTL.
To be honest, I think there's more chance of a VA lounge at TSV before either NTL or HBA.

Perhaps the barest of hopes. The HBA 'master plan' which was being carried out since about 2015, with largely cosmetic changes to arrivals and departures, was put on hold last year due to the surge in arrivals - it was out of date before being half completed.

They are now working on a new master plan and there is hope (only hope at the moment) that the footprint of the terminal may increase (but air bridges have been ruled out) . But even if the footprint does increase, there is the problem of how much HBA would charge VA for lounge space Vs what a retailer could pay. VA's customers have been without a lounge up to now, and pax numbers keep increasing, so would VA lose custom if they didn't provide one? I doubt it, and they would know it.

So I'm doubting that Hobart is going to get one anytime soon. Even with the most recent rennovation completed around Dec/Jan there is no lounge, so since 2012 Hobart Airport has had around 3 upgrades and none have included a Virgin Lounge. The Qantas Lounge at Hobart got a new doorway that's about it.
